Meet Kevin Cooke
Christian / Husband / Father
Kevin Cooke is a Republican candidate for Georgia’s 14th Congressional District who currently represents Georgia State House District 18. He and his wife Crystal have been married for 13 years and are blessed with two daughters, Ella and Sadie. He is a 1998 graduate of Carrollton High School and attended the University of West Georgia for two years before finishing his degree in Sport Studies, with a business emphasis at the University of Georgia. He is a life-long resident of West Georgia.
Kevin currently serves as the Associate Athletic Director at Shorter University in Rome and is a farmer and small businessman. He was formerly a law enforcement officer, and Southern gospel singer. Having learned the value of hard work and always finishing what you start from his parents and grandparents; Kevin’s life experiences have equipped him with the proper tools to effectively lead in Congress.
As a follower of Christ, a husband, and a father, Kevin’s most fundamental principle has always been to remain steadfast in his values and true to his word. Having served for nine years in the
Georgia Legislature, he has always let his faith and principles guide his votes and actions.
During his time as a Representative, Kevin stood firm in his belief that we never have to sacrifice our Georgia values to keep our state the number one place to do business and he was proud to support the “Heartbeat” Bill AND every piece of pro-Second Amendment legislation. He has never voted for a tax increase and even supported legislation that cut the Georgia income tax. Kevin currently serves on the committees for Agriculture and Consumer Affairs, Appropriations, Legislative and Congressional Reapportionment, Public Safety and Homeland Security, Regulated Industries, State Planning and Community Affairs, and Interstate Cooperation.
Outside of work and politics, Kevin enjoys spending time on Saturday mornings eating breakfast with his girls before a full day of playing soccer outside and UGA football. He and his family attend Roopville Road Baptist Church, where Ella accepted the Lord as her Savior this past summer at VBS.
